Who is a passenger?

We regard passengers as any human over 10 for comfort purposes. Only toddlers can be carried on laps.

Why 3/5 passengers when cars carry more?

For TPF, comfort and space go together. So, just like the driver sits with only their co-pilot, so will a passenger sit with only their co-passenger. In special conditions, such as when using TPF Taxis and travelling as 3 “TPF Passengers” and 1 child, or 2 “TPF Passengers” and 2 children…. You get the gist.

What are your waiting times?

TPF prides itself on being timely. And while we acknowledge that some situations occur out of anyone’s control, we have set waiting times for different services.
For TPF Standard:
📍 15 minutes free - Waiting for boarding from the booked time
📍 60 minutes free - Waiting for return trips
📍 Combined 2 hours free - For day trips
📍 60 minutes free - Waiting on unnotified delayed flights
📍 After these, waiting time is charged at Kshs. 10 per minute.
For TPF Shared:
📍 5 minutes free - Waiting for boarding from the booked time
📍 After this, depending on other passengers, charged at Kshs. 100 per minute.

For TPF Shuttled:
📍 2-3 minutes free - Waiting for boarding from the booked time
📍At 5 minute mark, the vehicle will leave and no refund is given

Did you say you offer free “shuttled“ pick-ups?

Yes. But free* with the *. Free pick-up happens if you live between 0-300 meters from the main road of the route. Up to 500 meters can be considered depending on the road.

The route: Malindi Highway between Kilifi Plantations (Kivukoni entrance), going down to Mkoroshoni/Kichinjioni (Inkaba entrance), connecting to Bofa Road at Kilifi Bay, then up to Naivas.

I’m not on the route, how much will pick-up be?

If you are within Kilifi town, then the pick-up shouldn’t exceed Kshs. 1000. The price will be calculated relative to the nearest point on the route, and the conditions of the road, so as to ensure your pick-up doesn’t affect the journey of your fellow Fleeters.

How does the shared/shuttled pooling system work?

Easy. We get bookings, match similar and almost similar bookings and put you in a pool. It takes 2 similar bookings to activate the shared option and 4 to activate the shuttled option. We will notify you throughout the process so you can consider your options.

Can I get a ride in 5 minutes?

Simple answer yes and no. We are best when it comes to planned trips. And planning 6 hours prior is still a planned trip. While we also do last minute trips and adjustments, we feel the quality of our services drop, and royalty deserves royal services. But, we won’t leave you out to dry if we can help it. We try to find you options when you need a car in 5 minutes 😉.

I go to place X regularly, and I’d like to build a route.

Wonderful, you are 50% there. The hardest thing is deciding you want a route. The rest is easy. Find a few people in your network that would be interested in that route, and we will find the same from our side. In no time, we shall have a route, and maybe name the route after you 😂.
